Lively and generous. It quickly reveals citrus notes, between orange and lemon. Then it becomes softer, offering vanilla and creamy caramel. In the background, toasted bread, a hint of spice and a more vegetal presence.
Mouthfeel is of the same order. Lively on entry, then very quickly soft and generous. It's a coherent whole, where the rye comes through a little more, with its very particular type of spice and toasted bread flavors. It progresses towards a more mineral style, still with the presence of tangy, lemony citrus fruits such as kumquat. As it dilutes on the palate, this whisky will release vanilla, caramel and a dose of menthol.
Good aroma retention, with a blend of minerality, a little chalkiness and citrus fruit. Slightly woody, spicy return. A moment of sweet smoke remains, along with a more saline hint.
