Like any story that begins with a presentation at the prestigious Hotel Amigo in Brussels, in the heart of Europe, the launch of the first European whisky "IOTA" was a great success. In a friendly, elegant atmosphere, guests discovered the fruit of an unprecedented collaboration between two distilling giants, Patrick Van Zuidam (Netherlands) and Etienne Bouillon (Belgium). The "Talents of Spirits" project, initiated by these two master distillers, aims to create exceptional whiskies, a symbol of the union of European talents.

The name "Iota" comes from ancient Greek and means "the smallest detail that counts". This blended whisky, aged in American oak barrels, offers a symphony of vanilla and spice notes. Van Zuidam, a specialist in rye, and Bouillon, an adept of malted barley, have combined their expertise to create a product that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of whisky.

Hubert Coussement, a Belgian property developer with a passion for whisky, was also present. He enthusiastically recounts how he came to join this daring adventure: "The idea of creating a European whisky, by bringing together the continent's best distillers, appealed to me straight away. It was either that or golf! I'm glad I followed my instincts. The aim was to create a whisky that represents the best of Europe's terroirs, and that's exactly what "Iota" embodies.
